Accelerated Resolution Therapy
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an evidence-based trauma treatment that helps individuals process distressing memories and reduce the emotional and physical impact of traumatic experiences without requiring them to repeatedly describe the details of the trauma. Using guided eye movements, relaxation techniques, and imagery rescripting, ART helps the brain reprocess traumatic memories, so they become less distressing while preserving the factual memory. Research has demonstrated ART to be effective in reducing symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, grief, moral injury, and other trauma-related conditions, often in fewer sessions than many traditional therapies.
At Rising Warrior Psychotherapy and Neurofeedback Clinic, we have clinicians who are advanced-level trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy. ART is integrated with other evidence-based trauma treatments, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Neurofeedback, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. This integrative, trauma-informed approach allows treatment to be tailored to each individual’s unique needs, helping clients reduce the emotional burden of traumatic memories, improve emotional regulation, and foster lasting healing, resilience, and post-traumatic growth.
